Today we finally had our carpets cleaned! It was quite a process! We had a guy come yesterday that had quoted $99 for four rooms. We expected more than that because of the stairs and hallway. He came in and got started, and then told Greg it was going to be $1000 because the carpets were so dirty. Yes, they were dirty, but not THAT dirty! We could almost get new carpet for that much! So, Greg politely asked him to leave, and he told us he could do it for $600 if we didn't tell the company...yeah, right!! So, we sent him on his way. Today, the carpets were cleaned for $180, and they look fantastic!
But, they are still wet, so we put up a blockade. Although they complied with the blockade and didn't try to go up them, Evan and Audrey just couldn't resist touching the wet stairs! They were pretty cute doing it, so it's the photo of the day.
