Evan found a whole new world when he decided to stand up on the dishwasher. He has climbed onto the door a number of times, but this is the first time he stood up. I wish I could have caught his face as he was able to see everything on the counter. Lots more fun stuff to get into, including a sucker, which didn't taste very good (darn wrapper) so it was thrown to the side immediately. And then mom made him get down. Mean mom.
Evan loves to race up to the gate and pull the string to open it. Then he rushes in and shuts us out. He thinks it is so funny. He has actually gotten pretty quick at getting in and turned around before we can sneak in. He also doesn't open the door very far and does his best to keep us blocked out. He'll close the door and open it and then laugh. He'll do that over and over again until he closes it too hard and the latch takes. Then he just gets mad because there's no string on the inside so he can't open it. When we play along, it can take quite a while to convince him to let us in. Most of the time we have to help him let us in.

Even better....this kid is a crack up. The best part is that he looks at me like, "what, mom?"
