April 13 - More Antics
This is the emphatic way that Evan lets us know he is done eating and would like to get down from the table. We are working on "all done" and "down please". Progress is slow, but we're not giving up yet.
Evan found a "garage" for his cars. He parked a couple of them and then went searching for more. Notice they are all facing the books. After I took this picture, I added another car facing away from the books. He wasn't having any of that, so quickly turned it around with the others.
Evan decided it would be a good idea to walk around like this. My immediate thought was of the scene in "Parenthood" when the little boy has a bucket over his head and bangs into the wall. The lid was actually against Evan's head/forehead and he was watching the ground as he walked. You gotta give the kid credit! Too bad that's not a very good indication of what is coming a few steps ahead. It only took him running into a couple of walls and a plant to realize it wasn't the best idea, and resort to spinning it on the ground. *We think Evan was actually trying to wear it on his head. Greg and I on separate occasions balanced it our heads and his. We think that's what he was initially trying to do. He's really in the stage of mimicking right now.
